RV - Not The Movie

The first pieces are running today in the's the link to the main piece, and here's the link to a story of a fabulous guy we met in Nova Scotia.

There'll be more photos and stories after next Saturday (when the Spec travel runs another bit) in my Adventures section - if I can get Webgod Jeff into action to create a fitting tribute to the extravaganza.

Lorraine, a good read. Nice to see it was on a Ford chassis (I hope it was the one in the pic?)but one question. Why would anyone build or buy a beast of that size and not be a diesel is beyond me. The Power Stroke is one of the best on the market, plus, you beef up your torque, horsepower and mileage. The diesel is the workhorse not gasoline engines, and moving one of those RV's takes work. Just my thought. Next question. How come anyone with a regular license can operate these "big vehicles". It is another issue the Ministry of Transportation needs too address, if it already hasn't. It takes special licences and training to operate other vehicle's of that nature, size, ie: trucks, so RV's and pulling trailers, house trailers, any trailers behind vehicles should be no differnet. It is a skill to drive these vehicles/combinations and operate them carefully. It is a whole new driving experience. Inexperience and lack of training is the last thing we need behind the wheel of these behemoths.
