never mind teaching the kids, Mom got an education today. Train parties and Rainbow parties? Egads, aren't we teaching our kids, our daughters, better than that?
And I thought our attitudes towards sex were pretty casual growing up. C'mon people we need to face our discomfort and make sure our children understand the risks involved in any kind of sexual activity.
My only comfort is neither of my girls wear lipstick!

You may have noticed the look on my face at running out of time.

Headlines are everything, it seems. There will always be kids doing everything at each part of the spectrum, but I'm sick to death of the sensationalist garbage that pretends to speak for the majority.

Remember the urban legends of our youth? 'Friend of a friend', 'my cousin's friend'...'swear to god it's true?'

The internet is a vile, harsh place for teenagers - or anyone - to navigate.

But to constantly - and consistently - tar all kids with the same brush makes me crazy. Don't people talk to their teens anymore? Don't they start answering questions when they're born? You can watch any sitcom these days and have a barrel of subjects to address.

Any parent who refuses to consider the barrage of information their children are faced with is an idiot.

And any child who can't discuss things openly and rationally with their parents needs a better one.

And yeah, I think viewers should have been sent to Urban Dictionary instead.
