Live@5:30 Thursday

What do you say to a holiday from your kids...and your spouse? Why does it take a divorce to get away from the kids for a day, a night, a weekend?! And really, is it so horrible to admit that it might be nice?

Join us on CHCH Live@5:30, repeat at 11:30pm.

For some reason they don't show this in Venezuela. I am away from my kids and my spouse 18 days a month, on average. And strangely enough I don't recall ANYONE saying "no, no, no, Dad. Stay home more." Absence makes the heart grow fonder.

It must be true.

I wish I had seen this sooner so that I could have watched.
Being divorced I thougth the separation from my kids would be horrible but I love the time I get to myself and feel selfish to say so but I think I have a better relationship with them because of it.

We were all in agreement. A clinical psychologist specializing in family stuff (Dr. Guy Grenier, great guy), Hebsy, Donna and me.

We had no problem admitting some time helps you to be a better parent. But Donna and I noted, along with Grenier, that it's almost taboo to admit it, especially for women.

What's silliest? You get that time after you divorce. If you could get even a little beforehand, maybe we could save some marriages.
