You'd think it was summer or something...

I am a remiss blogger. Forgive me. Had a friend here for the weekend and her 4 (yes, count 'em, 4!) kids camped in my backyard. Two small ones and two larger ones, Ari emerged from the basement (from his self appointed solitary confinement where he'd hooked up his computer, created a bed and laid in snacks to weather the small child invasion) and said "uhm, how many are there?".

It was fun. I have been spontaneously hugged about my knees in ways I'd very nearly forgotten. But the computer (and work) has been blissfully ignored while making sure everyone who wants Fruit Loops is indeed fruit looped.

My piece on the Biker's Reunion in New Liskeard ran on Saturday. Here's the link if you missed it - it was a blast. If you're a rider, I highly suggest you mark this event on your calendar for next Canada Day. Beautiful area, well worth building a vacation around.

Back to work. I leave Thursday for Gaspe in an RV. If you see Ari, offer to feed him....

An RV trip again?! Seems to be an annual event.

Read the Wheels Section on Saturday. Those O street boots looked good as you reclined on the Harley. Next, it should be back to school to get your license.

I lived in Timiskaming for nearly 20 years, Lorraine... thanks for highlighting both the area and the ride...

I went to the Sturgis, S.D. rally last year .... 150,000 bikes in a town the size of Timiskaming Shores .... watched drunken idiots riding, half naked and armed, at 8am, while two cops (on bicycles) debated whether to arrest the jazz saxophonist playing on the streetcorner (they decided they couldn't arrest him unless someone actually put money in his cup)...

New Liskeard ain't Sturgis, but then, you likely wouldn't dare fall asleep on a bike in Sturgis either .... you'd wake up to find you'd been raffled off to some toothless hillbilly :)

Vis-a-vis the artcile in the paper... you actually learned to use the self-timer on your camera? Say what?!?! The photos were credited to you - even the one of you snoring on the back of the bike... OK, so perhaps it was not snoring per se, but looks like some heavy mouth breathing from this angle.

Drop Ari off in Dunnville - he might die of boredom, but he'll be well fed.

I thought biker chicks were supposed to be fat and homely. 'Sup wit' dat?

Did you know there was a disembodied head sitting behind you? I guess it's always good to carry spare parts.

Shoot. All we got around here was the Hells Angels annual bash near Amherstburg.

Uitlanders definitely not welcome....

I'm jealous.

Wheels & Women.
My Darling Bride just bought a Rendezvous after researching it to the point that she knows a woman designed the interior. And I must agree...many more 'useful' and un-wasted spaces than in anything else I've ever been in since the Army.

Anyhow, enjoy the tundra of The Gaspe and remember, it's not the destination, it's the journey. Definitely true in this case.
